Kaper customer privacy notice

This privacy notice tells you what to expect us to do with your personal information. Kaper is registered with ICO (Information Commissioner’s Office) in accordance with the law, to ensure any information you have shared is kept safe. This policy describes how personal data about you is collected in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Only basic personal data about you is collected when you purchase via the shop or join the mailing list. Under GDPR, Kaper is known as the “Controller” of the personal data you provide.

How long your data is kept

Information is stored only for so long as it is required for the purposes it was collected for. All customer details collected during the sale of a sculpture will be deleted once any legal obligations have passed.

Mailing list subscribers can opt out at any time by click on the ‘unsubscribe’ link at the end of the emails.

Kaper never has any access to your payment card information details.

Your order number and address is kept on file for 5 years, in accordance with the law regarding tax return records for small business.

Who we share information with

Data processors

Squarespace

This data processor does the following activities for us: Squarespace runs this website, and so houses the website shop and email newsletter. Any information you choose to share on this website is protected by Squarespace. That information is stored in the USA and Canada.

PayPal and Stripe are used for making payments and those companies do not share your payment details with Kaper. Only your address is shared, so that your purchased items can be posted to you.
